As a Claims Specialist-Design Professional, you will play a critical role in AXA XL's claims for the Design Professional team. Expect to work closely with your manager and fellow Claims colleagues to drive files to resolution and to interact and collaborate frequently with Underwriting team. Together, you will be tasked with achieving the best possible outcomes for AXA XL and its clients by resolving and settling claims proactively.
Providing thoughtful and comprehensive coverage analysis on all new matters and acting as a resource to our underwriting team for wording and account reviews.
Negotiating appropriate and timely resolutions on assigned claims across multiple jurisdictions.
Partnering with internal and external counsel in setting and pursuing effective and cost-efficient litigation strategies for claims in litigation. while ensuring the highest level of customer service.
Consulting with and reporting to Claims Management and Claims Legal, as warranted, on large losses and contentious coverage matters. Active participation in new account and renewal meetings as required.
Taking an active role in the development of educational material and risk management initiatives for policyholders and agents. Facilitating the delivery of this material through public speaking engagements and individual consultation.

skills:
Must possess and maintain a valid Representative’s Certificate for Commercial-lines claims adjustment in compliance with AMF requirements. Experience with handling litigation claims for Professional lines of business. Bachelor’s degree or comparable degree. MBA preferred. Obtained or working toward Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation preferred. Superior verbal and written communication in both official languages, collaboration, presentation and influencing skills with the established ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the proven ability to work independently while demonstrating initiative toward continuous improvement. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly TEAMs, Outlook, Excel, and Word. AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is known for solving complex risks.
