Landmark, a Halliburton company, builds the software and data solutions that help the global energy industry make better decisions. Our products span subsurface interpretation, well construction planning, reservoir simulation, production optimization, and digital operations. You lead a small delivery team and own the technical execution of what the team ships. This is a hands‑on role: you keep writing code.
The role suits an experienced software engineer who is ready to take on the delivery and growth of a team. Strong software engineering fundamentals are the primary requirement. Teams build software for domains such as:
Drilling engineering and well planning
E&P data management and integration
Cloud and platform infrastructure, data services, and developer tooling
AI-assisted analytics, search, and generative AI
Languages such as Java, C#, F#, C++, Python, and TypeScript
NET, Eclipse RCP/SWT, JUnit, Angular, React, and Node.js
Cloud platforms including Azure and AWS
Relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and MongoDB.
Build and ship software
Own features end to end: analyze requirements, design solutions, write the code, test it, and ship it
Proactively identify and fix weaknesses in the codebase, test coverage, and development process
Apply secure coding practices, surface vulnerabilities in code reviews, and fix security issues as they arise
Stay close enough to the code to make sound technical decisions about what the team commits to and how it delivers
Own technical execution and delivery for a small team of engineers building production software
Translate product requirements into concrete delivery plans with realistic schedules and clear task ownership
Run design and code reviews and hold the team to consistent technical standards
Set technical direction for your team’s area: technology choices, design approach, and how the team works
Surface blockers, risks, and schedule changes early, and keep engineering leadership current on team status
Work directly with Product Management and engineering managers on planning, scoping, and priority trade-offs
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
~5–10 years of software development experience

NET), C++, Python, or TypeScript (React, Angular, or Node.js) ~ Experience owning the full development cycle: requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and delivery ~ Experience debugging production software and tracing root causes that span multiple components or layers ~ Experience coordinating the technical work of a delivery team or owning delivery of technology with a team, even informally ~ Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain technical decisions and trade‑offs to teammates and stakeholders ~ Experience with cloud‑native development, full‑stack or web application development, or data platform technologies Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure automation Background in enterprise software, SaaS platforms, or technically demanding application domains (scientific computing, real‑time systems, large‑scale data) Exposure to integrating machine learning, generative AI, or LLM‑based components into application features Experience growing less experienced engineers through technical mentorship You earn trust through the quality of your technical judgment and the way you treat the people on your team, not through hierarchy. You take an active interest in the growth of the engineers around you because you understand that the team’s capability is the long‑term outcome you own. We build small, high‑ownership teams and invest in the quality of every person on them. You will work in a business where software is the product, the work you do matters, and the standards are high.
