Join RailWorks as an Outdoor Signal Assistant, engaging in hands-on outdoor work for project support and maintenance operations. This physically demanding role requires teamwork and adherence to safety practices. This position requires you to report to a Signal Supervisor while participating in essential project and maintenance tasks near live tracks. You will maintain readiness of tools, perform general labor, and follow signal work procedures in all weather conditions. Collaboration with Signal Maintainers is key to ensuring effective operation and safety compliance in your work. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform labor-intensive tasks and operate necessary machinery
- Ensure tools and equipment remain in good condition
- Execute special duties assigned by supervisors
- Collaborate with team members on projects
- Comply with safety regulations and procedures
- Experience in field electrical work for 1-2 years
- Valid driver's G license essential
- Background in construction or farm environments required
- Ability to fix small engines desired
- Experience with heavy equipment is an asset
