Mainroad Alberta Contracting LP is seeking a dedicated Equipment Operator to join our expanding team In this position, you will play a vital role in civil infrastructure maintenance. Mainroad Alberta Contracting LP maintains over 4,600 kilometers of provincial highways within and around Lacombe, Ponoka, Red Deer, and Wetaskiwin counties. The Mainroad Group is an employee owned company recognized as a leader in providing innovative, safe and reliable maintenance, products and construction services for civil infrastructure works across Canada. High School Diploma (or equivalent). Class 3 or 1 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement and a clean abstract. Experience operating highway maintenance/snow removal equipment is an asset. Ability to work shifts, call-outs, weekends, and overtime. Snow removal and winter operations. Traffic control, emergency responses, highway surface maintenance, right-of-way maintenance, highway patrolling, shoulder maintenance/grading, plowing, sanding/salting, drainage maintenance. Highway Patrol and emergency response, grading and dust control on gravel roads. Re-gravelling, mowing of vegetation, road surface maintenance, roadside barrier maintenance and repairs. Pavement marking, sign installation and repairs. Ensuring all materials and tools are properly secured. Attending incidents/accidents to ensure public safety.
