Make a difference in patient care as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the surgical unit at Royal Alexandra Hospital. This role offers the chance to work with trauma and neurosurgery patients in a dedicated healthcare setting. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play an integral role in providing patient-centered care on an acute surgical unit. Collaborating with an interprofessional team, you will use your critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure safety and high-quality outcomes. Your support in mobilizing patients and directing care will contribute significantly to their recovery journey. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor responses
- Develop and implement nursing care plans
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare personnel
- Oversee health care aides in patient care tasks
- Participate in quality care initiatives and improvements
- Accredited practical nurse education program completion
- Clerical registration with the College of LPNs
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is mandatory
- Preferred experience in surgical environments
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills
