Become a Lab Associate in Comparative Medicine at Amgen on a contract basis to assist in vital animal research. Your role will support innovative therapies aimed at serious illnesses. As a member of Amgen’s team, you will engage in technical lab support and husbandry tasks, ensuring effective vivarium operations and animal handling. Collaborate with your colleagues to maintain biosecurity and adherence to established study protocols, directly impacting patient outcomes through your work. Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out animal husbandry and facility sanitation tasks
- Support health monitoring and veterinary activities
- Manage safe handling and restraint of research rodents
- Contribute to organizing inventory and operational compliance
- Follow strict procedures for data management and documentation
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant laboratory experience
- Experience in vivarium operations preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for teamwork
- Capacity to handle physical demands, including lifting
