Join CHATS as the Emergency Planning Health and Safety Coordinator in Aurora, ON. This hybrid role is essential for advancing both emergency preparedness and a safety-focused culture. As a Full-Time Contract Employee for 18 months, you will lead the charge in developing and maintaining health and safety programs. Reporting to the Vice President of Client Care & Services, your role encompasses compliance with safety regulations, conducting emergency drills, and facilitating staff training. You'll be pivotal in creating a safe environment through proactive initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead execution of emergency planning and drills
- Conduct safety inspections and workplace assessments
- Oversee compliance with safety legislation
- Organize training for staff on safety practices
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure safety best practices
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field
- Relevant degree or certification in safety management
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ontario Driver's License and vehicle required
