About the Opportunity

Our client, the Land & Resources Cluster , is seeking an experienced Senior I&IT Project Manager to lead a high-priority Solaris Evergreening initiative .

The Solaris Evergreening project is a critical FY26/27 operating plan deliverable focused on modernizing and mitigating risks associated with legacy Solaris infrastructure. The initiative will transition impacted application databases from unsupported Solaris infrastructure to supported platforms, upgrade Oracle databases where compatible, and enable the decommissioning of out-of-support Solaris servers.

This is a time-sensitive, enterprise-level initiative requiring a strong technical Project Manager with exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and change management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Project Manager will:

  • Provide overall project leadership, direction, coordination, execution, monitoring, control, and successful completion of the Solaris Evergreening initiative.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, resource estimates, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and status reports.
  • Lead the transition of application databases from Solaris infrastructure to supported platforms.
  • Coordinate database upgrades to current Oracle versions where applicable and compatible.
  • Support the successful decommissioning of out-of-support Solaris infrastructure following migrations.
  • Ensure project activities align with enterprise mandates, organizational objectives, strategies, and broader portfolio modernization initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional technical teams and coordinate activities across business, infrastructure, database, application, security, and other stakeholder groups.
  • Facilitate client meetings, workshops, stakeholder discussions, and project governance sessions.
  • Translate business needs and requirements into clear technical requirements and actionable project deliverables.
  • Develop and execute strategic communication and change management strategies throughout all phases of the project.
  • Build strong partnerships and manage stakeholders with diverse and sometimes competing perspectives.
  • Develop project strategies, frameworks, risk mitigation plans, options, and recommendations by proactively identifying potential issues.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and escalations in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide business analysis expertise, including requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, validation, and documentation.
  • Conduct research, analyze organizational and industry trends, and develop recommendations for solution and process improvements.
  • Produce executive briefing materials, presentations, dashboards, analytics, and status reporting for senior leadership.
  • Manage privacy and security-related project deliverables.
  • Apply Agile concepts and methodologies where appropriate within the project environment.
  • Prepare and present project submissions, recommendations, options, and documentation for stakeholder and leadership approval.
  • Manage multiple concurrent priorities and deliver high-quality results within extremely tight timelines.
  • Foster collaboration, resolve conflicts, negotiate solutions, and maintain strong, trusting stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate must demonstrate:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
  • Advanced knowledge and practical experience applying project management principles, methodologies, theories, techniques, task estimation, scheduling, and project controls.
  • Proven experience managing complex, enterprise-level I&IT projects from initiation through implementation and completion.
