We believe that by working closely with our partners, we can achieve outstanding results together._ Position Overview _The Journeyman Mechanic performs diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of heavy-duty trucks and equipment. The ideal candidate will bring technical ability, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to keeping equipment in top operating condition to ensure minimal downtime._ Key Responsibilities _Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailersPerform preventative maintenance and safety inspections in compliance with regulationsTroubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issuesMaintain accurate records of work performed and parts usedEnsure all repairs meet company and industry standards for safety and qualityWork collaboratively with shop supervisor, dispatch, and corporate operations to minimize downtimeMaintain a clean and safe work environment_ Qualifications _Red Seal Journeyman Heavy-Duty Mechanic or Commercial Transport Mechanic certification (required)Minimum 1 year of experience working with heavy-duty trucks and trailers.Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systemsAbility to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work ordersValid driver's license (Class 1 or 3 with Air Brake Endorsement considered anasset)Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsCommitment to workplace safety and compliance_ What We Offer _Competitive wages based on experience and certificationExtended health and dental benefitsOpportunities for overtime and steady work year-roundSupportive team environment with opportunities for training and advancement.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $38.00-$45.00 per hourBenefits:Casual dressDental careDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programExtended health careLife insuranceOn-site parkingPaid time offVision careEducation:AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)Language:English (required)Licence/Certification:Commercial Heavy Duty Journeyman Mechanic (required)Willingness to travel:25% (required)Work Location: In person
