JOB OPPORTUNITY Buyer YOUR MISSION OF EXCELLENCE As a Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing and order tracking of parts, equipment, and supplies to ensure the smooth operation of the company. WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH • Follow up on orders, release goods, and follow up with suppliers; • Complete requisitions for the purchase of supplies and materials; • Validate purchase requisitions; • Participate in inventory counts; • Create purchase orders in the system; • Confirm or obtain pricing from suppliers for goods and services; • Make purchases based on internal needs; • Maintain up-to-date supplier information; • Ensure the purchasing process is followed (negotiation, calls for tenders, obtaining quotes). THE IDEAL PROFILE • College diploma in procurement or administration, with 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience; • Any equivalent combination of education and directly related experience will also be considered; • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; • Experience with SAP or another ERP system (an asset); • Proficient in French; • Functional English; • Knowledge of logistics, procurement, and inventory management; • Knowledge of the steel industry (an asset); • Strong team spirit and collaboration skills.
