Title: Project Controls Coordinator III Start Date: 12/01/2025 to 11/30/2026 Duration: 1 year (with the possibility of extension) Location: Edmonton, AB or Calgary, AB Work Model: Hybrid (Mon, Tues, Thurs in office) Work Schedule: 8 hours per day; 40 hours per week SCOPE • Provide full Project Control Management, consisting of cost/schedule development and control during the full lifecycle of projects. • Generate regular and ad hoc analysis including graphs, summary tables, and presentations. • Assist the Project Engineer/Manager in Project Scope Management by providing insight into scope definition, verification, change control and financial health of projects. • Work with internal team to understand incurred field costs and Stakeholders for indirect costs and compare against budget and monthly forecast values. • Prepare expenditure profiles, work force histograms, comparative capital cost estimates for projects and total program monthly forecast summaries. • Provide estimating support to other departments' cost management for internal cost controls. • Track Key Performance Indicators and work with groups to improve overall execution of projects. • Develop templates, examples, and policies & procedures to assist the project managers to implement Gating Controls Process. • Prepare project status with variance analysis and reasoning for Senior and Project Management. MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS • University Degree or Technical Diploma in Engineering or Finance/Accounting related fields. Other Post-Secondary education may be considered. • Minimum of 3 years of Project Controls or Project Management experience is required. • General understanding of pipeline operations. • Extremely high proficiency in MS Excel required (v-lookups, pivot tables, graph generation, sumifs, etc.). • An ability to distill large sets of data into easily understandable analysis. • A working understanding of PowerBI and Power Pivot. • Software experience with MS Office Suite and Oracle/SAP. • Strong experience with EcoSys. • Predict obstacles, challenges, and risks to proactively determine mitigation strategies and innovative solutions to problems. • Excellent oral and written communications skills. • Problem solving, decision-making, organization, planning and leadership skills. • Collaborative, team- and service-oriented work style. • Motivated self-starter who works well independently in a fast-paced team environment. • Valid driver's license.
