Industrial electrical construction demands blueprint reading and testing skills. This full-time Apprentice Electrician position supports oil and gas industry projects.
Work with an established company providing electrical services to the oil and gas industry. The Apprentice Electrician installs, repairs, and maintains industrial electrical equipment, wiring, controls, and power distribution systems. The position also includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, conduit work, and compliance with electrical codes, safety procedures, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read drawings, blueprints, and electrical code specifications
- Test equipment for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
- Install and repair motors, controls, switchgear, and transformers
- Run conduit, terminate motors, troubleshoot, and complete panel work
- Maintain systems and complete preventive maintenance records
Requirements:
- Must be indentured into the electrical trade
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Oil and gas experience is an asset
- Canadian Electrical Code familiarity is an asset
Develop industrial electrical skills through equipment installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and code-compliant construction work.
