Excel as a Senior Data Engineer with our client in Toronto, utilizing a hybrid model. Lead data governance and analytics within Wealth Technology. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience as a Senior Data Engineer to support the Data & Analytics team in a leading financial services firm. Your role involves the design and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines while ensuring robust data governance practices are followed. Your ability to mentor junior engineers and recommend modern data stack solutions will transform data practices across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Collaborate closely with business teams for technical needs
- Recommend architectures using AWS and Snowflake
- Ensure data quality and governance across systems
- Lead mentorship initiatives for junior staff
- Over 8 years of data engineering experience
- Strong skills in SQL, Python, and Terraform
- Experience in regulated financial services required
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and CI/CD
- Hands-on involvement in cloud migrations
