The Role As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will lead the design, configuration, and deployment of cloud and modern IT solutions, primarily within the Microsoft ecosystem. You will partner with clients to understand their business goals, solve technical challenges, and guide their long-term technology strategies. As cloud transformation matures, you will help clients unlock value through automation, application modernization, data management, and reporting. Key Responsibilities Deliver assigned project work and support IT environments under IC 360 service agreements. Design, implement, and optimize Azure-based cloud solutions, including identity, security, networking, application services, and automation components. Lead integration and modernization projects across enterprise platforms and cloud services. Configure and deploy Microsoft Office 365, Azure and related cloud technologies. Design and configure networking, including firewalls, routing, and switching, and VPN solutions. Deploy and manage virtual infrastructure (VMs, storage) and Windows/Linux servers. Develop technical standards to support consistent, efficient solution delivery. Advise clients on architecture, technology planning, and solution selection. Lead application security management planning and implementation. Provide recommendations on infrastructure design, operational improvements, and cost management. Produce documentation, business cases, assessment reports, and technical plans. Research emerging technologies and support the adoption of modern tools. Collaborate with third-party vendors in support of client technology deployments. Respond to escalated Managed Services tickets and support troubleshooting efforts. Perform other related duties as required. Skills & Technical Experience Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Azure (VMs, VNets, Security) and Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Intune, Defender); Extensive L2/L3 networking knowledge, including deep understanding of routing protocols, VLANs, segmentation, and advanced network design; Strong on-premises virtualization infrastructure experience, including Windows Domain Services, Linux, VMware and Hyper-V; Advanced scripting and automation experience, especially with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API. Understanding of data design and database technologies. Qualifications 10 years of IT experience in cloud architecture, systems engineering, or technical leadership (or 5 years in a consulting role); Excellent communication, client-facing, and consulting skills; Able to lead projects and resolve complex technical issues; Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Azure and Microsoft 365 certifications are strong assets.
