ICI GC requires an Intermediate to Senior Estimator to join their team Hays Construction & Development is partnered with an ICI GC that is very well respected in Ottawa.
In business for decades, they have been providing quality solutions to their clients in both tenant improvement as well as new builds.
They're a dynamic and growing ICI construction firm specializing in fit-ups, tenant improvements, and new builds across Ottawa and surrounding regions. Projects range from $2M to $50M, with a sweet spot in the $10M–$20M range. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality work with a tight-knit team of professionals who value collaboration, integrity, and ambition.
As an Estimator, you will have more than just a job, it’s a chance to grow into a leadership role and potentially become a future owner in the business. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing detailed cost estimates for fit-up and tenant improvement projects ($2M–$5M) and new builds (up to $50M).
Collaborating closely with Project Managers and Site Superintendents to ensure accurate and timely estimates
Participating in bid strategy, scope reviews, and subcontractor negotiations
To be considered for this vital job, you should have 5+ years of experience in ICI estimating (fit-ups, TI, and new builds), ideally in the Ottawa or Eastern Ontario area.
You must have a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and market pricing and have excellent proficiency in estimating software and Excel.
