Working with our employees, clients, and project-specific team members, the drafting position requires someone with excellent communication, time management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills to produce accurate and timely shop drawings and production tickets for our precast products. Key Responsibilities Review project documents Work together with team lead, Engineer, project manager, and draftspersons to develop accurate plans, elevations, details, and section drawings for precast concrete projects Create production drawings for precast concrete panels and specialty elements such as Hollowcore slabs Follow established drafting standards Communicate and resolve conflicts in project documents with architects, Engineers, and other team members Accurately prepare shop drawings and check the work of other junior drafters as required Maintain records of drawings, and their changes Work with the project team to maintain construction schedules Update team on changes to contract documents Other related duties as assigned Qualifications & Education Requirements: Diploma in a relevant technical field such as Civil Engineering Technology or Architectural Technology Proficient in AutoCAD, and MS Office Ability to read and understand Engineering & construction drawings Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of the project management team Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Effective time management and organizational skills Eagerness for learning and developing new systems and product improvements Minimum 4 years of experience in structural and/or precast drafting Knowledge of 3D software such as Revit, Tekla & IDAT is considered an asset Strong skills in communication and producing clear, organized drawings How to Apply: Please submit your resume to careers@faprecast.ca.
