As the Director of Supply Chain, you are a key member of the Operations leadership team, responsible for overseeing procurement, logistics, and planning teams. You motivate and guide these teams to meet company goals effectively, using data-driven decision-making and your operational expertise. You manage all critical aspects of the supply chain, including inventory management, transportation costs and routes, warehousing and distribution methods, and vendor relationships. Your role ensures optimal resource utilization, minimizes costs, and drives profitability while upholding ethical standards and regulatory compliance. You also play a strategic role in finding innovative solutions to supply chain challenges and reporting progress to the VP of Operations. Key Performance Outcomes Safety Performance: Achieve and maintain zero safety incidents or claims across all supply chain operations annually. Sustain a 95% or higher order fill rate, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries. Inventory Accuracy: Maintain inventory accuracy of 98% or higher, verified through quarterly audits. Customer Complaints: Limit customer complaints related to supply chain issues to less than 3% per order annually. Achieve annual cost savings of 5% or more across procurement, logistics, and warehousing operations. On-Time Delivery: Ensure 98% on-time delivery for all inbound and outbound shipments. Cost Reduction and Continuous Improvement Find ways to continuously improve supply chain operations and reduce costs across procurement, logistics, and warehousing, achieving a minimum 5% cost reduction annually. Align KPIs to the overall business strategy and ensure the team is progressing toward these goals. Support for Production and Distribution Support the safety and quality of all production and distribution processes to ensure compliance with Greenhouse’s standards. Plan and direct the entire manufacturing cycle, including sourcing, procurement, purchasing, and logistics for raw materials and finished goods. Strategic Operations Planning Develop and implement an operations plan, including resource allocation, performance goal-setting, and budget management. Optimize distribution strategies across major business lines, including last-mile delivery in new markets and distributor setup in the USA. Direct the implementation of reporting systems, processes, and efficiency programs to track and analyze key supply chain metrics. Supervise, coach, and mentor the Supply Chain team to ensure operational excellence and foster a strong organizational culture. Provide quality direction and training to supply chain and production personnel to improve team performance. Set performance standards and ensure the appropriate measures are in place to achieve these standards. Risk Management and Change Initiatives Anticipate unfavorable events and supply chain risks through data analysis and implement effective control strategies. Manage and lead change initiatives within the Supply Chain team to adapt to evolving business needs. Develop contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity. Vendor and Logistics Management Build and maintain strong business relationships with vendors while minimizing procurement costs. Oversee transportation costs and routes, optimizing efficiency and minimizing delivery times. Make decisions on warehousing and distribution methods to ensure the smooth movement of goods through the supply chain. Minimum of 5 years of operations management experience, with demonstrated success in supply chain leadership. Knowledge of lean principles and their application to optimize supply chain processes. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in business tools and technology platforms, including GSuite, DEAR Inventory, and Routific, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly. Leadership and Coaching: Skilled in analyzing data, anticipating unfavorable events, and implementing control strategies to mitigate risks. Experienced in managing and implementing change initiatives within supply chain operations. Annual Compensation Range: $150,000.00 CAD
