Shape meaningful senior care activities at Extendicare through recreation leadership, resident engagement, and a person-centered approach focused on quality of life.
As Recreation Manager, you will plan, organize, implement, document, and evaluate programs in a senior care setting. You will guide recreation staff and volunteers while supporting resident and family satisfaction. The position requires post-secondary recreation education, health care experience, and strong leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan activities that encourage resident participation
- Organize and evaluate resident programs
- Hire, train, and engage recreation teams
- Support resident and family satisfaction targets
- Comply with regulatory requirements and resident rights
Requirements:
- Recreation Therapy or Therapeutic Recreation education
- Minimum one year in a health care setting
- Minimum two years in senior care programming
- Passion for person-centered work with seniors
- Activity Pro and Point Click Care proficiency is an asset
Use recreation programming, team leadership, and senior care experience to strengthen resident engagement and experiences at Extendicare.
