The Ministry of Technology and Innovation provides leadership and services that support digital transformation across the Government of Alberta. The Forms Management unit, within the ministry’s digital service delivery environment, supports government programs by developing and maintaining accessible, effective, and user-focused forms. The unit works with partners across government to streamline information collection, improve form usability, and support consistent service delivery.

Role Responsibilities
Are you skilled in programming, workflow development, problem solving, and research? Do you bring strong organization, attention to detail, and experience in form or application design? If so, this opportunity may be a strong fit for you.
Reporting to the Forms Management Team Lead, the Data Innovation Analyst supports the creation and continuous improvement of Government of Alberta forms. This includes researching, evaluating, and designing form features that improve performance, accessibility, and the overall user experience.
As part of the Forms and Technical Services unit, the Data Innovation Analyst contributes to both strategic and operational priorities. Working within a centre of excellence for forms management, the role collaborates with Business Analysts and other teams across the Ministry of Technology and Innovation to share findings, apply technical expertise, and deliver professional forms services.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Create innovative, accessible, and user-focused forms.
- Respond quickly to organizational or industry changes that affect forms and related processes.
- Communicate clearly and build effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and partners.
- Manage multiple timelines, priorities, and expectations in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide technical support and subject matter expertise related to forms design and delivery.
- Apply knowledge of object-oriented programming, system design, implementation, and database design.
- Learn new software quickly and adapt to changing tools, standards, and processes.
