This position is part of the Connect 6ix project. Toronto's new Ontario Line subway is now under construction. The Connect 6ix consortium has a key role in this project, delivering the trains, the signaling system, and the operations, storage, and maintenance facility. Connect 6ix will also operate the Ontario Line for a 30-year term once it comes into service.

Role overview

The Construction Interface Coordinator ensures coordination between Ontario Line project contracts (South Civil PCo, EGS PCo, PTUS PCo, DVC PCo) and stakeholders such as C6ix project management, commercial, and legal teams. The role focuses on managing construction interface challenges, variations, and requests while facilitating collaboration. The coordinator also participates in and co-leads the Construction Interface Working Group (CIWG) to ensure seamless integration of all construction activities.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate coordination between South Civil PCo, EGS PCo, PTUS PCo, DVC PCo, and project management teams.
  • Engage with C6ix project management, commercial, and legal teams for contract variations and compliance.
  • Act as the central point of contact for construction team requests and information exchange.
  • Lead the coordination efforts with C6ix systems and rolling stock partners to ensure proper integration of civil and systems works.
  • Participate in and co-lead the CIWG to resolve construction interface challenges and ensure project alignment.
  • Maintain and update interface control documents, logs, and tracking matrices.
  • Generate and distribute Minutes of Meetings (MoM) to track action items and responsibilities.
  • Provide status updates and reports on interface issues, risks, and resolutions to senior management.
  • Supports, prepares and presents technical reports and progress updates.
  • Review and interpret project schedules in Primavera P6 and TILOS to ensure interface alignment.
  • Assist in technical coordination related to invert, trackwork and guideway fit out installation.
  • Work with civil, systems, and rolling stock contractors to prevent delays caused by interface mismatches.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in civil, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in railway infrastructure projects, ideally with interface management experience.
  • Familiarity with urban railway projects;
    experience in trackworkinstallation is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of contractual and legal processes with Metrolinx/Infrastructure Ontario projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for interface drawings and reviews.
  • Experience in understanding schedules in Primavera P6 and TILOS.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Ability to lead meetings, resolve issues, and drive decision-making processes.
  • Effective communicator with proven ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills, including short-term planning and quick decision-making.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated individuals with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Willingness to step beyond assigned responsibilities to support colleagues and project success.
