KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Accounting Responsibilities: Assist with month end and year end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations Assists with the budget process to develop projections for various lines of the business Support the preparation of financial reports and statements as required by the senior management Support accounts receivable function during peak periods or as coverage required Assist in preparation monthly/quarterly indirect tax returns and remittances Support the preparation of corporate income tax return working papers and schedules Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and commentary Assist with preparation of reinsurance requests and related accounting activities Ad-hoc projects as assigned Systems Management Responsibilities: Serve as a support contact for finance users experiencing issues with the primary ERP system and other financial systems Collaborate with IT team to support and troubleshoot system issues and ensure smooth data flow team financial systems Document system configurations and create user training guides Assist in defining user requirements for new financial reporting tools or system customizations Assist in the routine maintenance of financial system master data Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Solid understanding of basic accounting principles advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong knowledge of Excel EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in accounting finance or a related field Experience in accounting or finance role an asset WORKING CONDITIONS: Working at a computer for much of the day Hybrid working model SALARY RANGE: $56,500.00 - $70,000.00 TO APPLY: Please submit your résumé to HR@hiroc.com In order to be considered for this position, please include a current résumé or detailed qualifications summary with your application.
