Overview Languages: English Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience. Experience Minimum 2 years to less than 3 years. Work setting: Retail business, Food service establishment. Responsibilities Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.) Assign sales workers to duties Hire and train or arrange for training of staff Order merchandise Authorize return of merchandise Establish work schedules Sell merchandise Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages Organize and maintain inventory Supervise and co‑ordinate activities of workers Manage cash Conduct performance reviews Address customers' complaints or concerns Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures Supervise and co‑ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff Prepare and submit reports Prepare budget and cost estimates Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage Establish methods to meet work schedules Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards Hire food service staff Requisition food and kitchen supplies Supervision 5-10 people Cashiers Grocery clerks and shelf stockers Retail salespersons and sales clerks Working groups Staff in various areas of responsibility Food service counter attendants and food preparers Food and beverage servers Additional Information Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Fast-paced environment Work under pressure Tight deadlines Handling heavy loads Manual dexterity Attention to detail Combination of sitting, standing, walking Walking Ability to distinguish between colours Sitting Standing for extended periods Bending, crouching, kneeling Physically demanding Personal Suitability Accurate Client focus Efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral communication Flexibility Organized Reliability Team player Dependability Excellent written communication Initiative Judgement Ability to multitask Benefits Health benefits Health care plan Financial benefits Group insurance benefits Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Part-time Job function Sales and Business Development Industries Retail Groceries #J-18808-Ljbffr
