Overview Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) is seeking a diagnostic radiologist with fellowship training to join our team of 16 diagnostic and interventional radiologists. Facilities and Equipment We have four CT scanners and two MRIs, including a 3 Tesla magnet. A department expansion is underway to add two new MRI units, a brand‑new interventional fluoroscopy suite, digital mammography and a PET scanner located at the adjacent BCCA. We are the only IH site performing MRI‑guided breast biopsies. CT scanners – 4 units MRIs – 2 units (one 3 Tesla) MRI units (planned) – 2 new units Interventional fluoroscopy suite – brand new Digital mammography PET scanner – adjacent BCCA At our three clinics we perform X‑ray, ultrasound, bone mineral density and diagnostic mammography. Scope of Practice Diagnostic radiologists provide predominantly biopsies and drainages. Vascular intervention, nephrostomy tubes and complex biliary work are handled by the interventional radiology team. Biopsies (breast, other organs) Drainages (pseudocysts, abscesses, etc.) Imaging guidance for interventional procedures (where applicable) Professional Development & Work Environment We welcome new graduates and those interested in locum opportunities during the recruitment process.
