Overview
Excellent opportunity for a Diagnostic Radiologist with fellowship training to join the team at Kelowna General Hospital (KGH). Fellowship training and/or experience in Cardiothoracic, Chest, MSK, Breast or Nuclear Medicine imaging is an asset, but not required. We currently have a mix of 16 diagnostic and interventional radiologists. At the hospital, we have 3 CT scanners, one MRI (current department expansion underway with 2 new MRI units coming), a brand new interventional fluoroscopy suite, digital mammography, and a PET scanner (located at adjacent BCCA). We are currently the only IHA site currently performing MRI guided breast biopsies. At our 3 clinics, we perform X-ray, ultrasound, bone mineral density, and diagnostic mammography. Our procedural requirements for our diagnostic radiologists are predominantly biopsies and drainages. All vascular intervention, nephrostomy tubes, and complex biliary work are handled by the IR team. Locum opportunities are available and encouraged throughout the recruitment process. Qualifications
- Strong Radiology skills including X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and Fluoroscopy
- Skills in image guided biopsy and drainage, including CT-, Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy-guided procedures
