Position OverviewDistrict OverviewEastern Canada District's projects include highways, bridges, mass transit, mine site development & open pit operations, hydroelectric powerhouses, wind-power plants, dams & industrial. We serve the construction and mining industries and operate in Eastern Canada.LocationThis position is located at our Oakville, ON office.ResponsibilitiesLead a team of District Support Specialists: This will include training, mentoring, performing quality control, and providing guidance with troubleshooting and problem-solving.Serve as a subject matter expert for time and payroll issues. This includes pre-payroll and post-payroll activities, off-cycles, pay additions, overtime rules, and general payroll and time inquiries.Monitor team workloads and assist and backup as necessary and support the team in responding to internal customer questions and concerns.Develop strong relationships with field personnel and provide excellent time and payroll support.Demonstrate a sense of urgency toward business-critical issues.Understand, communicate, and monitor internal control processes and proceduresPerform other job-related tasks as needed or assigned: Flexibility to handle additional responsibilities as required.QualificationsThree (3) years of professional business experience in a similar roleCollege Degree in business or related field preferredBilingual (French / English) is an assetExcellent organization and time management skills: Ability to develop specific goals for the team and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish daily work and projects.Excellent customer service and collaboration skills: Ability to connect and build relationships with others inside and outside the organization and develop highly effective teams and alliances.Strong written and verbal communication skills:Highly motivated and self-directedPrevious SAP experience preferred: Or similar ERP systems. #LI-GHWe offer our full-time staff employees a comprehensive benefits package that’s among the best in our industry, including top-tier medical, dental and vision plans covering eligible employees and dependents, voluntary wellness and employee assistance programs, life insurance, disability, retirement plans with matching, and generous paid time off.We believe in equal opportunity in employment practices without discrimination and comply with all laws regarding human rights in the provinces where we operate.There’s no limit to what you’ll do at Kiewit.
