Professor - Teaching (Completed Master’s in Nursing) Seneca Polytechnic invites applications for a Professor – Teaching in the Nanji Foundation School of Nursing. The role is full‑time, permanent and requires a completed master’s degree in nursing, at least two years of post‑secondary teaching experience, and a minimum of three years of practice as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Faculty members play a pivotal role in curriculum development, academic leadership, and the creation of vibrant, technology‑enhanced learning experiences. Teaching Excellence Engage students with clear course objectives, active learning strategies, and rigorous evaluation techniques. Use educational technology to create dynamic online, hybrid, and in‑person learning environments. Provide academic counseling and tutoring support, offering personalized assistance to help students overcome challenges. Create immersive learning experiences, integrating real‑world resources and field trips. Course and Curriculum Development Ensure equitable access and inclusive teaching across all formats. Design formative and summative assessments that support diverse learning styles. Collaborate with program directors, advisory committees, and industry partners to refine objectives and learning approaches. Lead curriculum innovation, incorporating multimedia resources and evidence‑based instructional methods. Select textbooks and materials that align with course objectives and current industry standards. Academic Leadership Mentor and support fellow instructors to elevate teaching quality. Participate in consultative committees and contribute to institutional curriculum development. Engage in applied research initiatives that enrich student learning and foster interdisciplinary experiences. Qualifications Completed Master’s Degree in Nursing. Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Minimum of three (3) years of nursing practice. Minimum of two (2) years of post‑secondary teaching experience. Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and commitment to diversity, inclusion, integrity, and excellence. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on equity in education. **Note:** A teaching demonstration will be required during the recruitment process. Internal full‑time employees with partial‑load positions will be considered first, in accordance with collective agreement requirements. New hires will be required to demonstrate Faculty Basic Competencies by the end of their probationary period. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for full‑time Professors is $77,153 to $133,752, plus a performance‑based pay step upon hire.
