About The Position We are currently hiring for Secondary Technical Education teachers specifically trained in construction, manufacturing, transportation, and cosmetology. Qualifications & Requirements Certified by the Ontario College of Teachers (in good standing). Candidates with Transitional Certificates welcome to apply. Secondary Teachers must hold Technology qualifications in Intermediate and Senior divisions. Skill sets, education, lived experiences, backgrounds and various work/volunteer experience that may be considered valuable to the position. Commitment to building inclusive and accessible learning and working environments where every student sees themselves reflected in the curriculum, classrooms, and schools. Availability and commitment to work a minimum of 10 full days per school year. Additional Assets Experience working with diverse communities, in high-priority schools, and/or abroad. Additional AQs. Fluency in additional languages beyond English. Ability and willingness to contribute to a fulsome school community through participation in cocurricular activities, events and/or committees. Hourly Rate Daily rate of pay starts at $289.47 (includes 4% vacation pay). Individual wage for Long-Term Occasional work is based on related experience in the trade, which will determine your level of credit received on the salary grid.
