We are proud of the communities we serve and are rooted in making positive impacts within them.What You’ll Do:The Senior Systems Administrator is ultimately responsible for supervision and operation of the on-premise, cloud technologies, network and related security. The individual collaborates to ensure critical systems and infrastructure are functioning and secure.The individual works with both internal and external stakeholders. The Senior Systems Administrator strives to provide an outstanding workplace culture that maximizes employee engagement and development.Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Information Technology infrastructure team who are primarily responsible for on-premise, cloud technologies, network and related security.As an experienced technical resource, you monitor and maintain critical systems and infrastructure through a lens of absolute security.Maintain an enthusiastic and pique interest in systems for which you are responsible for while striving to learn and grow by working with others.Work as a key resource on large scale system projects that include complex integrations which employ cutting edge cloud technologies.Research and recommend improvements that can automate daily tasks while identifying approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.Be available for after-hours on-call support in rotationMaintains a good understanding of current and emerging technologies and how enterprises are employing them to drive success.Requirements:Candidates must reside in Canada and be authorized to work in Canada.Candidates must have a minimum 7 years of experience in IT systems support and administration in a corporate environment and a minimum of 5 years experience working with incident management tools.Experience with VMWare virtual desktop infrastructure and server clustering.Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SQL, BMC Control-M, Splunk running on Ubuntu OS, and working in a Windows Server environment.Experience in the administration and support of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy, Microsoft Azure Active Directory and SSO.Experience with Fortinet security products including firewalls and sandboxing.Experience with Cisco and Hp/Aruba networking, SAN storage solutions, and on-premise telecom solutions.Exposure or Experience with Hyland Onbase or other enterprise document management system.Experience working in a highly secure environment with the utmost regard for security and privacy, preferably the finance or insurance industry.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and inquisitive skills.Ability to train and mentor team members.Proven ability in interpreting and developing complex network diagrams.General Insurance Essentials (GIE) or an equivalent of Insurance Industry courses is required.Agile training and certification, ITIL training and certification, Lean training and certification are preferred.What We Offer:Remote, In-Office and Hybrid Work ArrangementsLearn, Grow and Development OpportunitiesCompetitive Compensation Package of Salary plus an Incentive PlanHealth, Dental, Critical Illness and Group Life Insurance CoverageDefined Contribution Company Pension PlanPaid Personal Days in addition to Vacation TimeIf you have the qualifications we are seeking and would thrive in a work environment where you are valued and respected, please apply.
