How You Will Create Impact Research, evaluate, and author underwriting rules and risk selection guidelines, plus supporting reference material. Proactively monitor external activities to identify potential legal or regulatory impacts and emerging issues that could affect products and profitability. Design products and oversee development and maintenance of base policy wordings and forms across companies, ensuring compliance with group standards and supporting reinsurance arrangements. Provide leadership and subject‑matter expertise to project teams implementing product-related changes, including systems development, maintenance, and enhancement. Collaborate with Communications and Training teams to provide background information and content for wordings, forms, questionnaires, and training materials, ensuring regulatory compliance. Support portfolio profitability by analyzing, identifying, and quantifying solutions to identified problems. Directly involve in portfolio and broker acquisitions, supporting due diligence and assessing portfolio quality for product conversion recommendations. Serve as product specialist for internal and external stakeholders such as Public Affairs, Government Relations, Ombudsman Office, and regulators. Critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, and proactively propose solutions. Strong communication skills to convey messages clearly and explore diverse viewpoints. Build trusting relationships and provide guidance to support colleague development. To Join Our Team Minimum 5 years of successful PL underwriting experience preferred. Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation and/or FCIP with a focus on underwriting or risk management preferred. University degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience. Expert knowledge of PL products, policy wordings, reference and training materials, Insurance Acts, and provincial legislation/requirements. Position primarily works with majority non‑francophone teams; proficiency in English is required. What You Need To Know You will travel occasionally.
