You will be instrumental in building robust, scalable web applications and APIs that support our AI-powered healthcare platform. The ideal candidate demonstrates technical excellence, a product mindset, and a collaborative approach to solving complex engineering challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesGather and translate functional requirements into scalable, secure, and user-centric software solutions.Develop, test, and deploy full stack applications using modern frameworks (React, Node.js, Python/Java).Collaborate with UI/UX designers, data scientists, and DevOps engineers to deliver seamless user experiences.Write efficient and maintainable code, follow best practices in code versioning, testing, and documentation.Participate in code reviews, performance optimization, and security audits.Identify and resolve bugs during testing and production deployments.Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and infrastructure-as-code practices.Required Skills & QualificationsProficiency in full stack development with React.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and either Python (Flask/Django) or Java (Spring Boot)Strong experience working with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and asynchronous programming (e.g., WebSockets, async/await, message queues)Hands-on experience integrating with EMR/EHR systems using:FHIR (R4/US Core profiles)SMART on FHIR appsHL7 v2 interfacesEpic's App Orchard or Cerner"s Ignite APIsFamiliarity with OAuth2 and OpenID Connect for authentication with clinical systems.Understanding of clinical workflows (e.g., orders, encounters, vitals, notes) and experience handling PHI securelyStrong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databasesPreferred QualificationsExperience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, or similar DevOps toolingKnowledge of security best practices in web applicationsFamiliarity with FHIR/HL7 or healthcare IT systems (a strong plus)Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and automated test suitesExposure to WebSockets, real-time data streaming, or edge AIWhy Join Us?Contribute to meaningful technology in the healthcare and AI domainBe part of a collaborative, Vancouver-based team building impactful applicationsCompetitive compensation, benefits, and flexible working arrangementsOpportunities for career growth, mentorship, and leadershipFluid thanks you for your interest in this opportunity.
