The Animal Control Officer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of providing protection to animal welfare within the community of Moose Factory. This position is integral to protecting the community members, the animals, both domestic and non-domestic, and assisting all authorities such as Police, Fire fighters, and external pet agencies as required. The Animal Control Worker will work at 15 hours per week.This position is for the entire community of Moose Factory Island and will liaison with Off Reserve organizations in assisting them in Animal Control Measures on an as needed basis.Qualifications/Requirements:High school diploma preferredTraining in Animal Control handling preferredHow to capture animals safely and handle them with care and diligencePhysically capable of handling large animals namely dogsAbility to work under minimal supervisionValid Class G or G2 Driver’s License RequiredFirst Aid and CPR PreferredCopy of diplomas/certificates/licenses to accompany resumeDuration: Part-time at 15 hours per weekTo apply: Submit cover letter, resume and two (2) recent employment references with permission to contact, quoting competition # 24-02.Submit Resume to:Human Resources GeneralistMoose Cree First NationP.O.
