Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Senior Content Editor (French) for a 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension based on performance and project needs. This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence once per week, with flexibility for remote candidates outside the Greater Toronto Area. Responsibilities Review, edit, and proofread French digital content for websites, mobile apps, online banking, and marketing campaigns. Edit and validate English-to-French translations for accuracy, tone, grammar, and French-Canadian linguistic standards. Coordinate translation workflows with external vendors and manage translation timelines and deliverables. Maintain editorial alignment with organizational style guides, French standards, and OQLF requirements. Contribute to French editorial standards, ensuring consistency of voice, tone, and terminology. Apply SEO guidance and accessibility best practices to optimize digital content. Work within Agile marketing pods to support campaign content creation and updates. Perform terminology research using tools such as Termium, Le GDT, and Antidote. Support content quality control and ensure all deliverables meet brand and compliance guidelines. Translate content directly when necessary. Must-Have Skills 5–10 years of experience in French content editing, proofreading, and translation coordination. Degree in Translation with strong English and native-level French proficiency. Experience editing public-facing digital content in structured or corporate environments. Proficiency with Trados Studio, MemoQ, CAT tools, and terminology databases. Knowledge of OQLF standards and French-language compliance. Digital marketing or digital content experience. Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience working with large digital platforms or enterprise content management systems. Experience in the financial services or banking sector. Advanced proficiency with Trados and MemoQ tools.
