Shift Supervisor – Store# 26373, GARRISON & VEDDER Company: Starbucks Location: Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will deploy partners and delegate tasks to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers by providing legendary customer service with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. You will be responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. Summary of Key Responsibilities Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes Starbucks culture, values, and mission. Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume periods to keep the store operating to standard. Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues. Communicate information to the manager so the team can respond and create the Third Place environment during each shift. Assist with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful coaching. Provide feedback to the store manager on partner performance during the shift. Contribute to a positive team environment by recognizing changes in partner morale and communicating them. Create a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, and timely coaching and feedback to partners. Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a “customer comes first” attitude and connecting with the customer. Discover and respond to customer needs. Develop positive relationships with the shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivations, needs, and concerns. Execute store operations during scheduled shifts. Organize opening and closing duties as assigned. Follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including cash handling, safety, and security. Follow all cash management and cash register policies and ensure proper cash management practices are followed by the shift team. Follow up with baristas during the shift to ensure the delivery of legendary customer service. Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products. Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments using existing organizational tools and collaborating with the store manager to find new methods of recognition. Utilize operational tools to achieve operational excellence during the shift. Summary of Experience Customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to direct the work of others. Ability to learn quickly. Effective oral communication skills. Knowledge of the retail environment. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a team.
