The Sales Associate plays a key role in sales activities by working with clients directly on their insurance needs, supporting and developing agency operations, and through outbound prospecting. This role will be based in Markham, ON and responsible for the prospecting, sale and service of Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, and Commercial Insurance. This trusted insurance advisor will identify prospects, determine needs and make informed product recommendations to clients. How you will create impact Execute sales strategies, deliver exceptional service and drive profitable growth of auto, home and commercial insurance products. Advise and recommend coverages and policies that best meet client needs. Complete front‑line risk assessment and selection following underwriting guidelines and recommendations. Complete client reviews focusing on commercial growth while identifying cross‑selling opportunities. Achieve individual goals for client service, sales, quality and productivity. Support programs to build multi‑line client relationships. Respond to client questions and concerns, resolve customer complaints and escalate issues appropriately. Prospect and identify opportunities for recommending additional products/services that benefit the client including Group Benefits, Life Insurance, and Investment Advisory. Be an effective team player and provide guidance to support the development of your peers. To join our team General Insurance License (OTL) is required or must be obtained. Meet all provincial‑licensing requirements in accordance with continuing education in order to obtain and maintain all licenses. One (1) year sales and service experience or related business experience is preferred. Knowledge of home, auto and commercial insurance products and experience with selling techniques is an asset. This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment. You will be required to have your own vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance. You will be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.
