Prior experience in acute care and emergency care is essential, as you will play a crucial role in addressing the healthcare needs of Albertans. Coverage of rural emergencies frequently includes coverage of medical inpatient units and affiliated long term care beds. On-call peer support is available whenever you need it. We are seeking NPs who possess strong leadership skills and excel in interprofessional collaboration ensuring safe, seamless coordination approach to care delivery. This position offers additional incentives, including: a premium payment per hour for hours worked, reimbursement for travel costs, a per diem allowance, meal allowance and accommodation provided by AHS. Description As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems.
