Co-op Student, Transportation - Regional Roads (Summer 2026) Join to apply for the Co-op Student, Transportation - Regional Roads (Summer 2026) role at WSP in Canada. The position is based in Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, Grand Prairie, or Edson and reports to the Area Manager. Expected start date: May 2026 Duration: 4 or 8 months. Please indicate your preferred location and duration on your application. What you can expect to do here: Work with Project Managers, Technicians, and Surveyors on the delivery of a variety of complex transportation engineering projects. Travel to various projects throughout the assigned region to ensure required tasks are completed in a timely manner and construction schedules are not compromised. Perform various material testing in accordance with procedures outlined in Contract Specifications, CSA and ASTM. Assist and/or perform various surveys on projects throughout the region as required and outlined in Contract Specifications. Support the engineering team with on‑site construction surveying using GPS, drone, and conventional survey methods. Prepare laboratory test reports and field review reports. Possess the ability and willingness to travel, work away from home for extended periods, and work long hours. Perform other duties as assigned. What you'll bring to WSP: Have a valid Class 5 driver’s license. Currently be enrolled in an accredited co‑op post‑secondary Civil Engineering program. Be adaptable to a changing work environment. Be a motivated, self‑starter who can lead and work well independently or with a team. Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
