Our client is looking to hire a permanent Senior Manager, Strategic Relationships, and Insights to join their growing team in Toronto.

Reporting to the Director of Stakeholder and Community Engagement, the Senior Manager of Strategic Relationships and Insights is responsible for driving successful partnerships and research strategies.

This role will provide insights and enable sector collaboration to support the transition and deliver positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of engagement strategies, systems, policies and plans to cultivate deep relationships with strategic partners. This includes overseeing the creation, management and evaluation of both internal and external engagement and outreach initiatives.
  • Direct the priorities, administration, and management of a multi-faceted team to ensure delivery of divisional and corporate goals. This involves:
  • Conducting robust market and stakeholder research (e.g. Indigenous communities, municipalities, local participants, industry) to gather data, trends and insights that enhance engagement strategies and best practices
  • Providing executive support through reports, briefings and other tactical work products
  • Leverage, maintain and enhance a network of external strategic partners, and develop and implement projects/solutions to share learnings.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal business units by providing relationship management support and delivering high-quality insights to advance key initiatives.
  • Provide supervision to staff, including full responsibility for hiring, development, performance management and ensuring staff output meets business needs and goals.
  • Assume signing authority and represent the Director as required.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience in stakeholder engagement and/or market research
  • Proven success in managing relationships and corporate reputation through research, insights, communications and engagement strategies
  • Experience in business strategy, team management, budgeting and staff development
  • Exceptional written and presentation skills
  • High degree of political acuity
  • Technical and analytical understanding of the energy industry, including systems, markets and management
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, conceptual and forward-thinking skills
  • Graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g. energy, business, environmental studies)
  • 10+ years of experience in stakeholder/market research or related areas
