The role: We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with proven experience leading projects from concept through completion. In this role, you’ll drive project success, optimize processes, and enhance overall efficiency and product quality. Key responsibilities: Project management & execution: Lead the full project lifecycle from design through production, commissioning, and delivery. Work collaboratively with Chemical, Mechanical, Controls, and Electrical Engineers to produce detailed work packages for production. Develop full project execution strategies, stakeholder plans, and delivery milestones for multiple sub-projects or large integrated projects. Manage commercial aspects, including change orders, contract compliance, and client approvals. Oversee financial performance in collaboration with Accounting, including Cost to Complete and Variance Reports. Conduct project reviews, audits, lessons learned, and formal reporting to internal and client stakeholders. Technical & cross-functional collaboration: Research, qualify, and engage new vendors and products to enhance project performance. Partner with suppliers and vendors to design and specify key components (pumps, valves, motors, filters, etc.). Support Supply Chain and Production teams to enable on-time and on-budget project delivery. Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure that all quality control processes and standards are met. Provide oversight in commissioning activities at the factory and at customer sites. Drive repeatable and scalable design implementation, supporting innovation, pilots, and new product development. Leadership & continuous improvement: Act as the main point of contact on assigned projects for internal senior management and clients. Mentor and coach Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Project Engineers to develop team capability. Lead team alignment across departments and vendors to resolve escalated issues and optimize delivery. Develop and refine project management workflows and templates to improve scalability and efficiency. Partner with the Business Development team to support strategic growth initiatives and high-level commercial decisions. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related field). Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with EGBC. 10+ years of relevant experience as an engineer or project manager in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Proven track record of producing engineering deliverables in fast-paced environments. Strong technical understanding of pressure piping design, ASME B31.3, heat exchangers, pumps, and related mechanical systems. Working knowledge of SolidWorks 3D or AutoCAD P&ID is an asset. Core competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong organizational and prioritization abilities with strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Collaborative, hands-on, and proactive approach to problem solving. Positive attitude with a can-do mindset and willingness to take ownership. Hands-on tooling or troubleshooting skills are a plus.
