With nearly 300 retail locations, we proudly employ more than 30,000 team members.We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time **Accountant** to join our Finance department in **Langley, BC.**Reporting to the **Manager, Finance**, you will be responsible for analyzing financial information, preparing journal entries, and delivering timely and accurate financial reports to management. In this role, you will be a team player with excellent attention to detail and the ability to learn and work with various financial systems.**You will be responsible for:*** Executing day-to-day accounting transactions including sales, cash receipts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger entries.* Preparing and maintaining accurate bank, AR, and balance sheet reconciliations.* Supporting period-end close activities, including preparation of expense accruals.* Preparing routine financial and operational reports to support internal stakeholders.* Investigating and resolving discrepancies and reconciling items in a timely manner.* Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.* Collaborating with Finance team members to support reporting, forecasting, and audits.* Contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and data quality.* Assisting with special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed.**You have:*** 3+ years of experience in an accounting role.* Completed or are working towards a professional accounting designation.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office.* Experience with Essbase, Power BI, Anaplan and/or Oracle Peoplesoft is considered an asset.**You are:*** Analytical with the ability to interpret trends and prepare meaningful analysis.* An excellent communicator, both written and verbal with strong interpersonal skills.* Able to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.* Able to work independently with high accuracy and attention to detail.* Driven and enthusiastic, with the ability to work well in a team environment.**What we offer:**In addition to **a highly competitive salary**, we offer a great range of **benefits**, a **company pension plan,** **free parking, exclusive team member offers, and opportunities for development and career progression.**If you’re looking to join a team that puts people first, you’re in the right place.
