This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, results-driven leader to oversee daily branch operations and drive performance across warehouse, showroom, order desk, and customer service functions.About the OpportunityThis role offers the chance to lead a well-established, high-performing branch with a team of 10–15 employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic oversight, operational leadership, and customer-focused service excellence. This is an ideal role for a seasoned leader with experience in branch operations, inventory control, and team management within a distribution, wholesale, or industrial retail environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team DevelopmentProvide day-to-day leadership to staff across the warehouse, showroom, and customer service functions.Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management to ensure team success.Promote a collaborative and high-performance culture aligned with company values and standards.Manage team scheduling, vacation approvals, and payroll submission in a timely and accurate manner.Ensure a safe, compliant, and positive work environment for all employees.Branch Operations & AdministrationManage inventory levels, including coordinating stock replenishment, returns, and stock adjustments.Approve invoices, authorize shipments, and manage branch petty cash.Oversee branch maintenance and coordinate with corporate teams for major facility concerns.Monitor operating expenses and ensure adherence to budget targets.Maintain appropriate access and security protocols, responding to alarm issues as required.Customer & Sales SupportServe as the escalation point for customer issues and work to resolve concerns effectively.Build strong relationships with key customers, including contractors, designers, and dealers.Support the sales team with pricing approvals, product knowledge, and complex order requirements.Step in to assist with order desk and showroom activity during peak periods or staffing shortages.Financial Oversight & ReportingMonitor accounts receivable and support collections activity as required.Review and reconcile daily cash deposits and branch-related expenses.Ensure accuracy of employee time tracking and payroll documentation.Provide regular reporting and updates to head office on branch performance and metrics.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of relevant industry experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, operational environment.Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Solid understanding of inventory management, logistics, and customer service best practices.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience.Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage.Paid vacation and statutory holidays.Opportunity for long-term growth within a well-respected and established organization.At Aplin — together with our brands CompuStaff and Impact Recruitment — we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
