Actuarial Analyst III TD Insurance, part of TD Bank Group, is Canada’s largest financial institution. Responsibilities Develop pricing strategies by market and product to reach growth and profitability objectives, including supervising analysts and ensuring detailed pricing strategies based on claim experience and competitive positioning. Generate ideas to accelerate profitable growth, supervise and execute their implementation, optimize cession strategies to Risk Sharing Pools, develop pricing strategies for competitive advantage, improve customer segmentation, identify above‑average profitability segments, and build models for price elasticity and behavior. Provide support to obtain necessary approvals from regulatory boards: prepare rate‑change documents, answer regulator questions, and negotiate for rate‑change approvals. Implement and maintain best practices and controls to mitigate risk, support implementation of approved rate changes, and ensure proper pricing of all issued policies. Support and supervise analysts, establish and maintain relationships with partners, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications Over five years of actuarial experience in Property & Casualty. Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Sciences or related field. Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) designation obtained or in progress. Excellent knowledge of Excel. Proficiency and interest in programming, notably SQL and R. Predictive modeling experience is a large asset. Leadership and strong teamwork aptitude. Ability to develop and empower top talent. Customer‑centric mindset. Effective communication in English (verbal and written); French is an asset. Ability to work effectively during demanding periods and make difficult decisions. Autonomous, perseverant, initiative, and creativity. Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills. Recognized for thoroughness and quality of work.
