The person hired will have the opportunity to establish a full-scope stroke subspecialty practice with expectation to participate in general neurology service. Clinical on-call responsibilities are divided between 12 stroke neurologists for the stroke service and all (30+) neurologists for the general neurology service. Hospital outpatient clinics include stroke clinic and rapid access general neurology clinic.Minimum 1 year of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disease fellowship with interest large vessel vasculopathy or stroke rehabilitation and medical education.VGH is a teaching hospital and therefore teaching with medical students, residents and fellows are mandatory. Research and other academic activities are assets.Private office space is available in the area.
