Machine Operator - Food and Beverage ProcessingRoleProcess or blend raw ingredients into finished products by applying knowledge of materials, products, and processing methods. Set up, adjust, and operate processing equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.DutiesOperate single-function machines to cook or process food products.Operate multi-function process control machinery through control panels or other systems to melt, mix, blend, cook, or package food products.Monitor gauges, computer printouts, and video monitors to verify processing conditions and adjust process variables such as cooking times, ingredient inputs, flow rates, and temperatures.Produce finished ingredients according to specifications using raw ingredients.Inspect products to ensure they meet company standards and clear machine blockages as needed.Clean, wash, and sanitize work areas, containers, and equipment using water, detergents, and sanitizers.Verify calibration of metal detectors.Follow mixing sequences from recipes.Record batch results, including metal detector verification, batch weight, and observations.Visually or manually inspect materials, ingredients, or products for conformance to standards (texture, color).Read and interpret formulas and follow recipes.Select, weigh, and pour ingredients for mixing.Identify and use materials and products in a controlled environment.Collect samples for quality control testing.Use safety equipment such as goggles, masks, and earplugs during processing.Education and ExperienceHigh School DiplomaAt least 2 years of experience in a Canadian food manufacturing environmentElectric jigger certifiedCompleted GMP and Food Safety Culture trainingAble to lift 25 kg repeatedly and work standing for long hoursIntermediate spoken and written FrenchAdditional DetailsSalary: $40 per hourType: PermanentSchedule: Day shift, 2 daysNote: Must be comfortable with basic mathematical operations (+, -, x, ÷) for measuring and adjusting quantities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
