Packaging machine operator - food processingPackaging machine operator - food processing1RoleSet-up and operate automated packaging machinery used to assemble finished ingredients and packaging components applying knowledge of machine capability, equipment, products and production methods.DutiesOperates automated packaging to assemble components into finished products. This includes setting up the equipment, feeding components, applying components, removing finished products from the assembly line and palletizing the finished products .Uses materials in a lot and batch controlled environment.Interconnects the required packaging machinery in order to produce the required goods.Performs mechanical adjustments to packaging machinery.Observes machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.Monitors the line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, etc.Inspects and removes defective products and packaging material.Starts machine by engaging controls.Adjusts machine components and machine tension and pressure.Troubleshoots and implements corrective actions to non-performing packaging equipment.Regulates machine flow, speed, or temperature.Performs duties associated with running a machine or manually assembling components engaged in the assembly of finished products. This includes feeding components, applying components, removing finished products from the assembly line and palletizing the finished products according to established specifications.Inspects and sorts components and finished products during the assembly process.Uses and records materials and products used in a lot and batch controlled environment.Cleans, washes and sanitizes work area, containers and equipment.Replaces other positions when required.Education requiredHigh School Diploma2 years experience in a Canadian food manufacturer.Electric jigger certified.Completed GMP’s and Food safety culture training.Able to lift 25 kg repeatedly andto work standing up for long hours.Intermediate level of French: Spoken and WrittenAdresseSalaire offert40PermanentOccupationJour2Must be comfortable with simple math equations and ratios used while measuring and adjusting quantities (+, -, x, ÷) #J-18808-Ljbffr
