We work alongside our members throughout their lives, saving them over 22 million dollars through year-round collaboration on optimal tax strategies and planning, allowing them to focus on what matters most running their businesses and enriching their communities.ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional tax and accounting advice to Members.Review and file complex personal (T1) and corporate (T2) income tax returnsDevelop and implement tax planning strategies for a variety of clients, including farm and small business ownersMaintain strong client relationships as a primary contact for key accountsConduct Member reviews.Support seasonal and year-round reconciliations and filings, including GST/HST, T1, T2, and other applicable tax returns.Foster strong relationships with Members and secure Member referrals.Recognize Member needs and connect them with our other domain experts within the company and network.What You BringEducation & ExperienceComprehensive experience with at least one full corporate tax cycle; 3+ cycles preferred and considered a strong assetAdvanced knowledge of Canadian tax laws and regulations (T1, T2, T3) is preferredDemonstrated experience managing client relationships and accounting teamsProficiency in tax preparation and accounting software such as Taxprep/IFirm, Xero, or ProfileStrong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in ExcelStrong proficiency in corporate tax processes and regulations.Experience with agriculture and/or preparing tax returns for farms and small businesses is preferredKnowledge, Skills And AbilitiesSuperior client service skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines.Dedicated to providing financial support that empowers Members.Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to analyze unique scenarios and provide customized recommendations.Other RequirementsOther duties as required.Why FBC?At FBC, we’re committed to helping you grow into the best version of yourself—whether that’s mastering your craft or leveling up your career.
