This position sits within Air Canada’s Customer Digital Technology group on the Digital Product team to enable the evolution of flight and ancillary products in B2C channels. Air Canada seeks a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to join the Digital Product team.

This position will oversee both the strategy and execution of new and improved features for the flight shopping and booking portfolio, including bespoke booking products and ancillary offerings. This individual must have experience creating innovative, high-performance digital experiences, and be customer-centric, data driven, and passionate about the travel industry. The ideal candidate thrives while operating in a collaborative, fast-paced, and high-energy continuous improvement delivery model. ResponsibilitiesDefine, prioritize, and manage the product roadmap for flight shopping and ancillary productsSupport leadership to ensure the product roadmap aligns to strategic digital program objectivesCommunicate the product roadmap as part of Program Increment planning activities, collaborating with Release Train Engineers to ensure release planning meets goalsCollaborate with Solution Managers, System Architects, and Digital Platform teams to ensure functional capabilities and requirements are metSupport day-to-day sprint activities with one or more agile delivery PODsHandle the ongoing operation of production features, including support on issues or incidentsDrive optimization and revenue growth of ancillary products through experimentation, analytics, and continuous improvementAnalyze market trends, customer feedback, and analytics data to drive product evolutionDirectly and/or indirectly lead and mentor a team of Product OwnersBe comfortable leading through influence to drive outcomes in a cross-functional teamCommunicate effectively with stakeholders and provide clear direction to technical and non-technical audiencesActively participate in meetings across the organization to support the intake of new requirements and provide initial gap assessments as requiredPrepare presentations to communicate the product vision, roadmap, new features, and data with business stakeholdersUnderstand and stay current on regulatory, digital, retail, and technology trends to understand their potential impact and apply these learnings within Air CanadaRemain accountable for requirements documentation to enable product and delivery teamsSupport the delivery of bespoke booking products and differentiated commercial offeringsQualificationsBachelor’s degree with at least 4+ years of Business Analyst, Product Owner, and/or Product Manager experience focused on delivering complex digital products (6+ years demonstrable experience in lieu of a degree)Experience supporting the development of mobile applications, with a strong preference for experience in the e-commerce domainFamiliarity with designing or implementing APIs to enable complex business logicAbility to provide clear direction and effective communication both in technical and non-technical termsUnderstanding of digital design guidelines and their application to digital channelsHave directly or indirectly led a team of Product Owners, Business Analysts, or Product DesignersAn ability to energize people in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentInnovative and creative, with the ability to identify and develop business opportunitiesExcellent management, organization, and communication skillsExperience leading or participating in product discovery sessionsFamiliarity working in an agile methodology (e.g., SCRUM, SAFe, etc.), with scaled agile (SAFe) as a plusExperience working with Digital Analytics tools strongly preferred, but not requiredPrior experience with coding or quality assurance a plus, but not requiredAirline or Travel Industry experience a plus, but not requiredDemonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environmentConditions Of EmploymentCandidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest, at the time any offer of employment is made and seeking any required work permits/visas or other authorizations which may be required is the sole responsibility of the candidates applying for this position.
