Project Manager

Overview On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Project Manager to join our Client’s team on a Contract basis. This role is Hybrid (3 days onsite) and the Client is based in Richmond. The Project Manager will support a large-scale business transformation program by establishing and enforcing project management best practices across multiple workstreams. Reporting to the Program Manager, this role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent planning, reporting, and delivery standards are met. The successful candidate will play a key role in program coordination, project setup, and oversight to enable effective and timely execution of program objectives. Duties & Responsibilities Provide overall program coordination and project management support across multiple initiatives Develop project forecasts, track actuals, and prepare financial and status reports Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and estimates to ensure scope and timelines are achieved Prepare templates for project deliverables and review outputs to ensure quality and adherence to standards Collaborate with Benefits, Transition, Technology, and Business Design teams to ensure delivery is on time and within scope Support and guide other project managers in project setup, reporting, and best practice adherence Review and audit projects to ensure compliance with established project management standards Support onboarding and adoption of new project management best practices across the program Maintain a centralized project roster and assist with onboarding new team members When required, provide direct project management support for individual projects Core Requirements Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Project Manager in a fast-paced environment Experience working on enterprise-level business transformation programs or projects Proven experience developing project plans, schedules, and financial forecasts Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or workstreams concurrently Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder environments Desired Skills & Experience Experience supporting large-scale public sector programs Familiarity with standardized project management frameworks and methodologies Experience coordinating across technology and business-focused teams Experience mentoring or supporting other project managers Strong reporting and documentation experience Terms This is a 12-month contract role with a hybrid work arrangement requiring three days onsite per week in Richmond. The successful candidate will be required to complete reference checks and a background check prior to an offer being finalized.
