Chinook’s Edge School Division invites applications from qualified individuals for a full-time temporary teaching position at École H. J. Cody School (Grades 9-12 with approximately 842 students) in Sylvan Lake effective the first day of the 2024-2025 school year to June 30, 2025. The successful candidate will teach grades 9-12 Physical Education, Sports Performance and the potential of other courses depending on areas of expertise and join our highly successful and collaborative athletic department. Preference will be given to individuals who have a proven record of excellence in teaching, coaching, excellent interpersonal skills, and a willingness to be involved in extracurricular activities at the school.

We ask that applicants prepare both a cover letter and resume, complete with the names and telephone numbers of three current work related references. Cover letters can be addressed to Ray Hoppins, Associate Superintendent – People Services Chinook’s Edge School Division. Applications will be accepted until 11:59 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2024. The successful applicant will possess a valid Alberta Teacher Certificate, and be required to provide a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
