Role Description We are looking for a Design Specialist to support end-to-end Fiber‑to‑the‑Premises (FTTP/FTTx) network designs. This role involves creating complete OSP designs—from central office to customer premises—including feeder, distribution, civil make‑ready, and fiber connectivity planning. Key Responsibilities Network & Fiber Design Create fiber designs from FDH to full FSA coverage areas. Plan MPT/FCP locations, splice points, fiber routes, and counts. Design feeder routes from CO/meet‑me points to FDH. Produce CAD (DWG) and PDF drawings for all designs. Pre‑Construction & Civil Make‑Ready Map aerial/underground routes and verify utilities (SNET, copper records). Prepare Pre‑CMR and CMR drawings, update redlines, add offsets, and apply city standards. Design conduits, structures, drops, and fiber layouts. Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and activity tables. Detailed Fiber Design Develop FCP and MPT detailed fiber designs. Create fiber count sheets, calculators, layout documents, and premise validations. Produce complete design packages (CAD, PDF, Excel). Documentation & QA Maintain accurate land base/GIS data. Ensure compliance with standards, utility regulations, and permitting requirements. Coordinate with field teams and clients for updates and approvals. Required Skills Technical Expertise Strong AutoCAD skills (DWG creation & management). Experience with OSP/FTTx design (FTTH/FTTB/FTTC). Knowledge of fiber routing, splice planning & civil infrastructure. Familiarity with GIS, ortho imagery, and land base management. Documentation & Software Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (fiber counts, calculators, BOMs). Ability to generate professional PDF documentation. Strong attention to detail and quality assurance. Communication & Coordination Ability to work with field teams and integrate redlines. Experience working with clients for reviews and approvals. Capable of managing multiple FSAs and meeting deadlines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
