Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.Meet your future team:You will be part of a focused team of Product Developers, Designers, Pattern Makers, Cutters and Sewers that works on creating innovative product. This team builds strong relationships with cross-functional partners to realize ideas into commercialized successes.If you were in the Pattern Maker role now, here are some of the core activities you would be responsible for:Interpreting design intent and creating concepts, prototypes and counter sample patterns, ensuring methods and documentation are consistent with known factory methods and processesPartnering with Designers and Product Developers to establish standard fit, sizing and product consistency by product type/category and end usePartnering with Designers and Product Developers to establish and document product construction standards and illustrated technical specifications for all productContributing to the block pattern libraryMaintaining computer pattern libraries, ensuring changes and communications are clearly shared to Product Developers, Graders, and Marker MakersReporting on prototype and sample progress, ensuring development and product creation deadlines are metProviding estimates of raw material yields to Product Developers during prototype developmentEstablishing and maintaining effective relationships with Designer, Sample Sewers, Product Developers and FactoriesDeveloping and maintaining accurate sample garments and measurement specificationsPartnering with Product Operations to help identify areas that need improvement or clarity, and supporting with changes needed during the Product Creation processSupporting and contributing to CLO 3D modeling as neededParticipating in organized training programsSupporting on other projects as assignedUpholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing, throughout the Arc’teryx supply chainHere are some of the things you could be working on in the future:Supporting on special projects, such as Speed to Market and/or varying product categories and typesProviding feedback and input into improving tech pack and development processes.Supporting the factories to train and help understand Arc’teryx standards and methods.Are you our next Pattern Maker?You have a relevant post-secondary education and 2 - 6+ years’ experience as a Pattern MakerYou have knowledge of Gerber Accumark tools or other pattern making programYou have the ability to work from pattern blocks or from sketchesYou have excellent knowledge of garment constructions and some knowledge of gradingYou ideally have experience patterning technical outdoor productsYou are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and have knowledge of Adobe IllustratorYou are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with an unwavering commitment to do what is rightYou demonstrate initiative, agility, and commitment, while balancing autonomy and collaborationYou remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity, and thrive in a fast paced, diverse, ever evolving and values led environmentYou inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvementYou have excellent interpersonal and English communication skills (written and verbal)Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it$69,000 - $100,000 a yearA reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD $69,000 - CAD $100,000 at the time of this posting.
